The WoltLab Suite is moving forward once again, with WSC 6.1 nearing its release. In this regard, we would like to take a moment to address our stance and explain in detail how we plan to proceed with the compatibility of our products for the latest WoltLab Suite version. In principle, all style/product versions released before WoltLab Suite 6.1 are not compatible and should not be used in production at this time.

Will there be an upgrade?

In short: Yes! We definitely plan to adapt our WSC 6.0…

Since WoltLab is already actively working on WoltLab Suite 6.1, we would also like to take this step in order to be able to focus all our resources and focus on the latest version series (6.0) as well as future versions (6.1).

1. August 2024 - Stage 1

• The regular support period has expired, there will be no more updates or support for our products for WoltLab Suite 5.5.

1. January 2025 - Stage 2

• The downloads of this version will be removed from the customer area and the associated package servers

Since WoltLab has already officially stopped supporting WoltLab Suite 5.3 and WoltLab Suite 5.4 will probably follow within the next few months, we would like to take this step as well in order to be able to put all our resources and focus on the latest version series (5.5) and future versions (6.0).
